Where is all this taking place?

The race starts in La Gomera, Canary Islands, and the finish is in Nelson's Dockyard, Antigua. As the crow (or Albatross) flies, that is some 2,935 miles (or 5,491 km) - but we are not birds, and the wind and tides are likely to make it nearer 3000 miles - or maybe further.

Once the race is underway, we hope to be sending regular progress reports to our land support team, which will hopefully be posted on this site - look under "Latest news" on the left. So as November moves towards January, hopefully there will be a little dotted line on a map somewhere on this site, to signify our progress across the Atlantic.
